Sometimes the scope of our clients’ operations is so broad that they need a “2 in 1” upgrade.
For example, some industries require the ability to transport both fresh and frozen goods simultaneously.
That’s when MultiPartner has the solution!
An iso-thermal box (refrigerated box) with two temperature modes will enable the client to transport various goods at once.
Such an upgrade is not simple and requires about 30 days of production time from the delivery of the vehicle.
However, the final product proves that it’s worth the wait, and not just one – but three!
ISO-THERMAL BOX (REFRIGERATED BOX)
On the chassis of Renault Master vehicles, the iso-thermal chamber, or refrigerated truck, was first installed.
The external length of the box is 4,100 mm, the width is 2,200 mm, while the internal height is 2,085 mm.
The chamber is lined with sandwich panels of 90 mm on the roof and front wall and 70 mm on the side walls.
The floor is 110 mm thick with internal reinforcements, and a “top finish” anti-slip gray polyester floor has been applied.
The rear frame is made of stainless steel with two hinged doors, sandwich panels 80 mm thick.
Also, external stainless steel latches (one per door) are installed, along with door holders and two reflectors on the outside.
A PVC seal has been installed for door sealing.
On the right side wall, there is a side door 900 mm wide with a step for easier entry into the box, and two LED lights with motion detectors on the roof panel.
The entire box is protected from pallet impacts up to 250 mm in height, and reinforcement for the installation of a cooling unit and ducts for pipes has been provided.
A roof spoiler is installed on the driver’s cab as wind protection.
Finally, the “main feature” of this box is a pneumatic liftable partition wall that allows the chamber to be divided into two compartments, each with its own temperature.
INSTALLATION OF REFRIGERATION UNITS AND THERMAL PRINTER
Once the installation of the iso-thermal box is complete, we proceed with the installation of refrigeration units.
As an authorized distributor of Carrier refrigeration units, we have extensive experience in installing and servicing products from this manufacturer.
For this upgrade, we offered the client a dual-mode Xarios 350 unit powered by the vehicle’s engine.
The unit’s capacities are 3,730 W and 2,700 W, respectively, and are powerful enough to cool 20 m³ to a temperature of -20ºC.
The main evaporator (MXS 1100 EXTRA) has an airflow of 1,470 m³/h, while the additional (MXS 850 EXTRA thin) has an airflow of 800 m³/h.
Thanks to the previously mentioned pneumatic liftable partition wall and these two refrigeration units, the client can transport both fresh and frozen goods simultaneously.
This is a significant advantage, especially for refrigerated trucks of these dimensions, considering the fuel savings and operational flexibility.
Finally, a Dataloger thermal printer with one probe was installed in the vehicle’s cab for the client.
With it, the driver will always have real-time insight into the current temperature in the chamber.
This type of upgrade is actually a modification of some previously published ones, like the one at the following link.
