Our upgraded vehicle facilitates safe and comfortable transport for individuals with disabilities, accommodating up to three wheelchair users or eight seated passengers.
Transforming this VW Crafter begins with installing a high-quality aluminum ‘smart floor.’ This innovative addition enables easy attachment and secure transportation of wheelchairs and seats, allowing the driver flexibility in arranging the interior to meet shifting needs. It forms the cornerstone of the vehicle’s adaptable functionality, ensuring safety and versatility for all passengers.
A three-point wheelchair securing system, complemented by side vehicle guides, enhances safety. This arrangement not only maintains passenger stability but also diminishes travel risks under various conditions.
The VW Crafter with the MultiMobility upgrade includes comfortable, adjustable seats equipped with armrests and three-point belts, designed for maximum comfort and support throughout the journey.
Our upgrades also extend to the sensory experience inside the Crafter. We’ve added sound and thermal insulation behind the panels, substantially lowering ambient noise and maintaining a pleasant internal temperature, ensuring a comfortable ride.
To address colder climates, an additional air heater in the rear passenger area quickly warms the space, offering passengers a cozy travel environment, no matter the external weather conditions.
Ease of access is a priority. We’ve installed a step to allow safer and easier entry, which is crucial for passengers with limited mobility. An electro-hydraulic ramp at the rear door further facilitates wheelchair users’ access.
The central handrail supports and eases movement, proving invaluable for wheelchair users and their companions.
Lastly, a specialized three-part storage box keeps belts and wheelchair-securing equipment neatly organized.
